Research Areas: My research primarily focuses on ultrafast rovibrational dynamics of gaseous CO2 and the translation of angular momentum correlation functions into 2D-IR observables. While in the group I have also conducted research pertaining molecular computing. My interests lie in instrumentation development both hardware and software and I have an end goal of building instrumentation for NASA or a government lab. Outside of Research: I enjoy going to sporting events of any type, playing video games, golfing, traveling around the country, and visiting local micro-breweries. I also enjoy working on cars. |

Research Areas: My work in the lab has historically focused on studying the rotational and diffusive properties of nitrous oxide (N2O) in ionic liquids. I have recently begun work on looking at those same properties for CO2 in polymerized ionic liquid membranes which are a novel material being studied by our collaborators in the Laaser lab here at Pitt! Outside of Research: I enjoy playing video games, watching TV, and cooking a variety of things. I also try to play melodic percussion and volleyball when I can. |
Research Areas: I have been working on the diffusion processes of CO2 in ionic liquid/polymer membranes for the purpose of carbon capture from point sources. I am also working on coursework and developing standardized data analysis programs for our group! Outside of Research: Outside of research, I am a musician and I enjoy playing piano. I also like watching football. |
