Research Areas:
My research primarily focuses on ultrafast rovibrational dynamics of gaseous CO2 and the translation of angular momentum correlation functions into 2D-IR observables. While in the group I have also conducted research pertaining molecular computing. My interests lie in instrumentation development both hardware and software and I have an end goal of building instrumentation for NASA or a government lab.

Outside of Research:
I enjoy going to sporting events of any type, playing video games, golfing, traveling around the country, and visiting local micro-breweries. I also enjoy working on cars.

Research Areas:
My work in the lab has historically focused on studying the rotational and diffusive properties of nitrous oxide (N2O) in ionic liquids. I have recently begun work on looking at those same properties for CO2 in polymerized ionic liquid membranes which are a novel material being studied by our collaborators in the Laaser lab here at Pitt!

Outside of Research:
I enjoy playing video games, watching TV, and cooking a variety of things. I also try to play melodic percussion and recently got a handpan to play!
Research Areas:
I have been working on the diffusion processes of CO2 in ionic liquid/polymer membranes for the purpose of carbon capture from point sources. I am also working on coursework and developing standardized data analysis programs for our group!

Outside of Research:
Outside of research, I am a musician and I enjoy playing piano. I also like watching football.

Research Areas:
I have been working on understanding the interaction and dynamics of CO2 in ion gel membranes made up of ionic liquids and PEG-based polymers. The ultimate purpose of my current research is to improve the functioning of carbon capturing material by elucidating their interaction with CO2 at the molecular level. Before my current position I was involved in studying the structure and dynamics of liquid electrolytes, that are finding potential applications in batteries, using mid and far IR spectroscopy, and NMR spectroscopy.

Outside of Research:
Playing cricket, badminton and watching movie
